Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-11-07

Effective date: November 7, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and SPIRITSAUTOMATION LLC, Illinois, USA (“we”, “us”), the operator of the Talescroll app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Talescroll listens while a book is read aloud and creates illustrations of the story as it is being read. The pictures are made by artificial intelligence. The Service is provided as a service: what you pay for is the generation, not ownership of anything that is generated (see section 5).

2. Accounts

3. Subscriptions and illustrations

4. Your books and your reading

5. Ownership of generated content

6. Artificial intelligence: accuracy and quality

The Service relies on artificial intelligence models, some of them operated by third parties: speech recognition, language models that follow the story, and image models that draw it. By their nature these models are probabilistic. They can make mistakes and can produce content that looks convincing but is wrong (often called “hallucinations”). You understand and agree that:

Nothing in this section limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

7. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app (Library menu → Delete account). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or abuses the Service. Sections 5, 8, 9, and 10 continue to apply after your account ends.

8. No warranty

The Service and all Generated Content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will always be available or error-free, or that every passage will be illustrated.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.

11. Apple

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the Service. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. If you continue to use the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
